Things to Keep in Mind About the Berserker Armor (Berserk Armor)

If you’ve been reading and playing Berserk for quite a while now, you may be familiar with the Berserker Armor. Currently worn by Guts, the Berserker Armor is a set of incredibly tough body armor. Due to their extraordinary power and unfathomable savagery, those wearing the armor are rightly known as Berserkers.
If you need further information about the Berserker Armor, then you have come to the right place. In this article, we will be giving you several details about its origin, purpose, advantages, and disadvantages throughout the game, and how you may acquire it as you move forward in playing.

Origin of the Berserker Armor

The Berserker Armor’s first appearance was in Berserk’s volume 26, episode 222 entitled the “Claw Marks”. It was created at an unspecified time by the dwarf blacksmith Hanarr, who imbued it with a strong essence meant to provoke and manifest the wearer's negative emotions, especially fear and anger.   The Skull Knight finally put on the armor and used it to fight against demonkind. Finally, he gave the dangerous artifact to his witch friend Flora. It stayed secured while under her possession.
After the apostles of Griffith's "reborn Band of the Falcon" invaded Flora's spirit tree mansion, it is later given to Guts. Despite Grunbeld's enormous power, even after transforming into a fire dragon, Guts easily repels his attacks after donning the Berserker Armor, overwhelming the apostle in their combat.

Purpose and Advantages of the Berserker Armor (Currently worn by Guts)

By suppressing the physiological and psychological processes of the human body that would typically stop a person from using enough power to harm themselves, the Berserker Armor's main purpose is to prevent injuries. The wearer's physical body is significantly enhanced as a result, reaching previously unimaginable levels of strength and speed. The armor accomplishes this by reducing the discomfort that pain causes; while the wearer can still experience pain as a sensation, their mind does not perceive it as a problem, allowing them to ignore it.

Additionally, it incites intense bloodlust in the wearer, intensifying hate, fear, and wrath so that the user can fight more effectively. In the midst of combat, the armor can also momentarily heal crippling wounds. As an example, a shattered arm can be repaired by the armor, injecting thin spines from itself into the broken bones, putting them back in their proper positions and regaining use of the limb.  Daiba compares this to the user appearing to be "wrapped in the prana of Durga." If the armor is damaged, it can also mend itself.

The headpiece of the armor assumes a distinctive appearance when a berserker fury is triggered. In Guts' case, the helmet and bevor are designed to resemble the Beast of Darkness, with the ability to serve as an enemy-biting mouth. When the armor is worn, Guts' face is completely hidden, and the helm's eye sockets flash red. If Guts is in control of himself, however, the helm's eye sockets stop glowing red and reveal the swordsman's genuine eye.

A "blood memory" of a former user's dying moments was once absorbed into the Berserker Armor and passed on to its current wearer.

Disadvantages of the product Berserker Armor

The power of the armor has certain disadvantages, the most prominent of which is connected to the od that grants the armor its power. The od can absorb the wearer's mind and transform them into a feral, murderous creature that is unable to tell the difference between friend and foe if they do not actively monitor their bad feelings.

The wearer's senses will start to fade if this state is routinely accessed, eventually going away entirely.  It can also lead to long-term mental decline, serving as a breeding ground for the wearer's own inner darkness. In Guts berserker armor' situation, a strong magical presence, such as that radiated by Schierke's astral body or the Moonlight Boy's presence, is necessary to stabilize him while he uses the armor to its full extent.

A disadvantage of the armor's capacity to numb pain is that it permits the wearer to injure themselves through excessive exertion.

In a similar vein, the armor's reinforcement of shattered bones or other incapacitating wounds can cause blood loss, which results in death.

Acquiring the Berserker Armor community

Guts will eventually get the Berserker Armor as you go through Berserk and the Band of the Hawk, product available for PlayStation 4. Once you complete the mission, “The Berserker Armor”, you will fully unlock the set. On the plus side, you will also unlock the Guts’ Transform ability so that you may use it throughout the game.

The Berserker Armor allows the user to harness the Berserker's strength by assuming the form of the dark beast, which grants him greater strength and a sharp rise in speed. With a weapon that has a wide range of strength and the necessary quickness to dart about the screen and dodge even the most formidable foes, this gives players the best of both worlds.

Additionally, the Berserker Armor may only be acquired through the PS4 franchise of the game, and is currently unavailable on PS5.

In Conclusion

The Berserker Armor is a donning incredibly robust body worn by the Guts.  Due to its exceptional strength and limitless ferocity, those who wear the armor are referred to as Berserkers. The Armor first appeared in the Manga Berserk Volume 26, episode 222 “Claw Marks”, and may now be acquired by playing the PlayStation4 franchise entitled, “Berserk and the Band of the Hawk”.

The Armor’s key properties include driving people past their will’s limits, making the wearer overtake into their emotional rage, leading them to hallucinate and have difficulties in identifying who are their enemies and allies. Mental deterioration, self-repairing, and continuous functioning despite crippling wounds are also a few of its properties.

The Berserker Armor offers several advantages such as high pain and injury tolerance and being immune from killing attempts done by enemies. However, among its disadvantages is lacking self-control and hearing disturbing phantom voices. Therefore, be wary and careful once you have unlocked this armor because indeed, “with great power, comes great responsibility.”
